Testing the Audi lunar quattro in the Qatari desert

The team took the Audi lunar quattro to the desert to see how it would cope in an extreme heat environment. We tested its ability to manage steep slopes,  high temperature and its capabilities on different types of fine sand. We used an infra-red (IR) camera to monitor its thermal behaviour and see verify the thermal management systems.

The Audi lunar quattro passed all the tests with flying colours and coped with the heat significantly better than the humans that accompanied it! Here are some photos from our time in the desert.
